Hikes in Tenerife with Permit Required
Almost half of Tenerife’s surface is protected land — national parks, rural areas, and nature reserves.
To help preserve these unique spaces, some hikes and camping areas require prior authorisation.

A reservation is compulsory for all visitors due to limited daily entries.
Camping is allowed in designated areas across the island.
There are 15 tent areas and 6 for caravans or campervans, all managed by the Cabildo de Tenerife.
