Discover Bajamar in Tenerife

Bajamar is a small coastal town on the north of Tenerife near Anaga rural park, with a little sandy beach, several ocean-water pools, restaurants and beautiful sunsets, this place is also much quieter and laid back compared to the southern resorts, you won’t find here any big hotels, which makes Bajamar an ideal location for people who want to relax and enjoy this place.

Bajamar has 2 huge pools and 1 little pool for kids with ocean water and they are ideal for enjoying swimming without worries about currents or waves. The little sandy beach is protected by a breakwater and has dark sand and a gradual safe entrance to the water.

The beach and natural pools have been awarded the Blue Flag award for their cleanliness, quality of services, safety, and crystal clear waters

Facilities & Services

The area is free of charge and offers amenities such as changing rooms, showers, toilets, a place to relax and sunbathe, lifeguards on duty, a kiosk and a little lighthouse.

However, check the forecast before visiting Bajamar as the beach and pools may be closed due to strong waves, but, this provides a stunning view of the wild ocean’s power as waves crash against the wall and splash around.

How to Get Here

The parking lot is right in front of the beach, but finding a parking spot can be sometimes a bit difficult, but not impossible.

To get to Bajamar by bus take the bus line numbers 50, 105, and 224.
