El Sauzal’s coastal path is a hidden gem on the north coast of Tenerife, offering a mix of dramatic cliffs, natural pools, and panoramic views.

This 2-km-long trail runs along the coastline:

  • Length: 2 km
  • Difficulty: Easy, but includes stairs
  • Trail surface: Mostly rocky and uneven in some areas
  • Breathtaking viewpoints overlooking Pico del Teide
  • Hidden natural pools with crystal-clear water

The path is easy to walk, but it includes some stairs, making it not fully accessible for strollers or wheelchairs.

Facilities & Services

  • Several designated viewpoints offer views of Teide and the Atlantic Ocean
  • Barbecue and picnic areas are available for visitors to relax
  • No shops or restaurants along the path, so bring water and snacks

How to Get Here

By Car 

  • Take the TF-5 highway and exit toward El Sauzal
  • Follow signs toward the coastal area

Parking 

  • Limited to around 30 spaces, but availability is generally not an issue

By Bus 

  • Bus line 30 runs from La Laguna to El Sauzal
