Discover Playa de las Teresitas
Playa de las Teresitas is a beautiful beach in the north of Tenerife, located approximately 6 km from Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and is known for its golden sand and beautiful surroundings.
The beach is wide and over a kilometer long, and has golden fine sand brought from the Sahara in 1973. The water is calm and without strong currents and waves thanks to a long breakwater, the entry into the water is gradual and safe. Natural shade is provided by hundreds of palm trees and lifeguards are here every day.
Playa de las Terezitas has a Blue Flag award for its safety, cleanliness, services, and water quality, so it is suitable for everyone, including families with children, and people with reduced mobility.
Facilities & Services
Changing cabins, toilets, and showers are available free of charge. Lockers are available for a fee of €2 per day, while sunbeds and umbrellas can be rented for €6.
It is a great place for various activities such as swimming, beach football, volleyball, and running or you can rent kayaks, paddleboards, and surfboards.
Visitors can also enjoy snorkeling and spot some colorful fish in the water.
Several bars and restaurants are located along the beach, offering typical Canarian tapas, pizza, cocktails, ice cream, and pancakes.
Security Tip: Playa Las Teresitas is mostly safe, but don’t leave valuable things in your car or alone on the beach. Sometimes things get stolen, so be careful.
How to Get Here
There is a large free parking lot located right next to the beach, with plenty of space. However, during the summer season or on weekends, the beach can become crowded, and parking spots may be harder to find.
By Bus: The bus number 910 runs daily between Santa Cruz and Playa de las Teresitas at 15-minute intervals until 11 p.m. The main transfer station in Santa Cruz is Intercambiador Santa Cruz, where you can catch the bus.
