Discover Playa de Alcalá
Alcalá is a charming seaside town located on the west coast of Tenerife, known for its black sandy beaches, natural pools, and the 2 km-long coast path.
The coast path runs along the shore and passes a few nice stops along the way. — Playa La Jaquita, natural pools, local restaurants, and a big sports area.
Playa La Jaquita has three small bays with black volcanic sand and calm water. Waves are usually mild, so it’s also good for kids. On either side of the beach, you’ll find natural pools with easy access to the water, making them a good spot for swimming and snorkeling.
Along the way, you can also see the island of La Gomera and enjoy the magical sunsets.
Facilities & Services
By the beach, you’ll find a kiosk with drinks and snacks, toilets, showers, and changing rooms. Sunbeds are available for 10 €.
Children’s playground, a skatepark, and courts for volleyball, basketball, and football.
Local restaurants, not only with Canarian food, can be found all along the way.
The town also hosts a local market every Monday from 8 am to 1 pm at Plaza Llamo, offering fresh produce and other goods.

How to Get Here
To reach Alcalá, simply drive along the west coast. The town is well connected to nearby towns, with parking available near the beach and the town square.
