Discover Playa de Las Arenas
Playa de las Arenas is a beautiful beach located on the west coast of Tenerife, near Teno Natural Park. This picturesque spot offers dramatic scenery with black volcanic sand and crystal blue water. The gradual entry into the water makes it safe for swimming, and the beach is relatively uncrowded, offering a peaceful atmosphere.
During the wintertime, the ocean may take away some of the sand, making the beach area more variable. However, the beach remains a great place to visit with natural pools located just a 10-minute walk away. These pools are shallow, with a sandy bottom, making them ideal for a relaxed swim or soaking in the calm waters.
You’ll also find a 3 km long coast path that follows the shoreline all the way to the town of Buenavista del Norte. Along the way, you’ll pass old sites where sea salt was once harvested.
