Information

Alcalá is a charming seaside town on the west coast of Tenerife, offering a perfect blend of natural beauty, relaxation, and family-friendly activities. The town features black sandy beaches, natural pools, and a scenic 2 km-long Coast Path that stretches along the coastline. This path provides stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean and the nearby island of La Gomera, making it a perfect spot for a leisurely walk or sunset viewing. The natural pools on both sides of Playa la Jaquita are ideal for swimming and snorkelling, with easy access to clear, calm waters.

Coast Path: The 2 km promenade begins next to Playa la Jaquita and continues towards Playa de Alcalá. Along the way, you’ll find a playground and a skatepark. For those who want a longer walk, the path connects Los Gigantes and Playa San Juan, covering 11 km but with more challenging terrain.

Alcalá also offers a local market every Monday from 8 am to 1 pm at Plaza Llamo, showcasing fresh local goods and cuisine. The town has several local restaurants serving delicious Canarian dishes.

How to Get Here

By Car: Alcalá is easily accessible by car from the TF-1 highway.

Parking: There are parking spaces available near the beach and in the town, though availability may vary during peak times.

By Public Transport: To reach Alcalá by bus, take lines 473, 477, 493, and 494.
