Discover Playa de los Cristianos
Playa de Los Cristianos is a long beach in the heart of one of Tenerife’s busiest resort towns. With soft pale sand and a gentle slope into the ocean, it’s especially popular with families and older travelers. The beach has earned the Blue Flag for its clean water, safety, and excellent services. Thanks to a breakwater, the ocean here is calm — no strong waves or currents — and lifeguards are on duty every day.
You’ll often see people swimming, sunbathing, or enjoying a morning walk along the promenade.
Several other beautiful beaches are nearby, such as Playa Fañabé, all of them are connected by a long seaside promenade.
If you’re looking for something more active, there’s also a coastal hike that starts right in Los Cristianos and leads through Palm-Mar to Faro de Rasca, a remote lighthouse at the southern tip of Tenerife.
