Discover Playa San Juan

Playa San Juan is located on the southwest coast of Tenerife, the part of the island with the best weather and the warmest water.

The 300-meter-long beach has a mix of dark, coarse sand and pebbles. A breakwater keeps the ocean calm, with no strong currents or waves. The gentle slope makes the water easy to enter—safe for children and ideal for anyone who prefers a quiet swim.

The beach has a Blue Flag certification for its excellent cleanliness, water quality, safety, and services.

Facilities & Services

Lifeguards, showerstoilets, and wheelchair access are available.

On the right side of the beach, there is a small harbor where you can rent paddleboards, arrange boat trips, or go diving.

The town of Playa San Juan retains its local charm, as it has no large hotels or resorts. However, you’ll find plenty of local restaurants offering Canarian cuisine, cafes, shops, and a playground for children.

The beach is connected to a 3 km-long promenade that stretches from the beach, through the harbor, and along the coast. The asphalted path is suitable for bikesstrollers, and people with reduced mobility.
