Information
This coastal walk is on the southern coast of Tenerife, about 15 km from Santa Cruz and connects three small towns: Tabaiba, Playa de la Nea, and Bocacangrejo.
The walk starts in Tabaiba, where you’ll find a natural pool and good conditions for freediving. Just a short swim from the shore lies a sunken ship, now home to many fish.
From there, the path continues for about 500 metres along a newly built trail above the cliffs. It follows the coastline until you reach Playa de la Nea town, where you’ll find two small beaches with gentle access to the water, flat spots to lie down, and a children’s playground.
Next comes the main Playa de la Nea, a wide black sand beach protected by a breakwater that keeps the water calm. There’s a beach bar right on the sand, and a large playground just a few steps away.
The final stop is Bocacangrejo, a small fishing village with walls painted in heart shapes by local residents.

How to Get Here
By Car: Take the southern highway and exit toward Tabaiba or Playa de la Nea. Parking is usually easier near Playa de la Nea — look around the roundabout above the beach or nearby streets.
By Bus: Lines 138 and 139 stop at Puerto de Radazul. From there, it’s a short walk to reach the coastal path.
