Discover Charco de La Laja

Charco de La Laja in Tenerife is one of the island’s most beautiful natural pools, located in San Juan de la Rambla on the north coast. Formed by volcanic lava and fed by Atlantic waves, this peaceful spot offers crystal-clear waters perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and relaxing by the coast.

Access to the pool is via a short stone staircase. Be cautious, as the steps can be slippery, especially after rain or high tide. On rough sea days, waves can crash over the edges — it’s best to avoid swimming if the ocean is too active.

Facilities & Services

  • Stone Staircase for easy access to the pool (note: steps can be slippery)
  • Snorkelling opportunities in the clear waters
  • Warning: Be cautious of large waves, as they can be dangerous

Please remember to take your trash with you to help preserve the natural beauty of this stunning location.
