The El Pris natural pool is one of the most peaceful swimming spots on Tenerife’s north coast. This volcanic pool is located just below the quiet fishing village of El Pris, offering a calm place to swim with beautiful ocean views and fresh air.
Unlike wilder natural pools, the one in El Pris is sheltered by concrete walls, making it a safe option for families, children, and older visitors. The pool is about one meter deep, with a flat floor and minimal waves on calm days. Entry is easy thanks to stairs and a ramp with a handrail, and there’s a long bench and sunbathing space beside the pool.
Swimming here is best on days with low wind and small waves. On rough days, water can crash over the edge, making the pool unsafe — always check conditions before visiting.
Another option is the 2.5 km long coastal walk to Mesa del Mar, where you will find a large ocean pool and Playa de la Arena beach.

By Car: El Pris is easily accessible by car, with parking available for about 70 cars.
By Bus: Take bus line 23 to reach El Pris. Check Titsa schedules.
By Foot: You can also walk along the scenic coast path from Mesa del Mar to El Pris, offering spectacular views of the ocean and El Teide.
